Naissant bags are crafted from timeless, carefully selected materials. But because of the nature of leather, it will evolve and change over time.  It needs love and care, so please follow these instructions carefully.

Our full grain leather is a smooth, refined leather with a polished finishing. Even though it was carefully chosen for its longevity, scratches might occur if not handled with proper care. We recommend occasionally treating it with a leather conditioner in order to keep your products hydrated.

Please note that products in lighter colors might be subject to color transfer or stains. Therefore, please avoid exposure of this material to dark denim or fabrics with loose dye. This also applies in reverse, the leather color can transfer to your light colored clothing, so be careful when wearing them together.

How do I clean my product?

We recommend cleaning the bag using your favorite leather cleaner and a soft, dry cloth. Make sure to test the cleaner in an inconspicuous small area to ensure discoloration does not occur. 

Our recommendation is to pre-treat your Naissant products in order to prevent damage.

Should I use chemicals?

Please do not use chemical products to clean your bag. Chemical cleaners and conditioners can damage the surface of the leather, doing more harm than good.

What should I do if my bag is exposed to any liquids?

Avoid getting your bag wet if possible, but if you get caught in the rain, do not panic. It should be gently dabbed with a soft, absorbent, neutral-colored cloth immediately and let the bag dry naturally away from a direct source of heat. Do not place the bag next to a radiator or attempt to dry it with a hair dryer. To speed up the drying process, fill the bag with newspaper to absorb the moisture.

How should I store my Naissant products?

When not in use, keep your products in the breathable cotton dust bag provided with your purchase. Do not store in high temperature or humid places. 

What should I avoid?

Avoid exposure to direct lighting, heat, or water, and follow all the above instructions.
